HAMER U.S.A. GUITARS
Hamer has a factory in Arlington, Illinois, USA, and is a talented manufacturer that is at the top of the new generation of American guitar manufacturers. To most people, Hamer may seem like one of the newer manufacturers that has suddenly come into the limelight in recent years, but in reality, Paul Hamer produced several Explorer-type guitars in the early 1970s. Since then, it has continued to be the mainstream of American-made rock guitars. In general, there are two ways to make solid guitars, and they can be categorized into two types: mechanically manufactured bodies in which the neck is joined with bolts, and types in which the neck is joined to a body with an arched top (set neck). Hamer followed the set-neck method and created extremely unique finishes on highly developed guitars, which made him famous. But Hamer is truly a wonder machine. For example, the Chaparral has a Strat-like body with finishes such as ice pearls and pink pearls that make it look like the sun is rising, and its price makes sense from its appearance. Every Hamer is a perfect guitar, and once you get your hands on one, you'll definitely want to play it and won't be able to put it down.
Structure and features of the Hamer guitar: The Hamer guitar uses a one-piece Honduras mahogany pattern stock (hardwood for wooden molds) for the body. The neck is made of straight-grained maple wood at its core, with book-matched maple wood glued on both sides. This creates a counterbalance effect and helps keep neck warp to a minimum. The fingerboard is made of straight-grained ebony or rosewood, and the inlays are the most beautiful and elegant mother-of-pearl position marks. In order to obtain accurate pitch, the frets are made of slightly fine nickel containing 18%, and are designed to produce a warm sound. Hamer has consistently maintained its original design policy. That is why we carefully select the materials we use and use the highest quality parts. Because it has a one-piece body, the entire guitar resonates and has a very long sustain. This quality of sustain is one of the best features of the Hamer, and is difficult to obtain from other guitars. The sound emitted from the strings is transmitted to the bridge and spread throughout the homogeneous body. And then to the neck. The body design is also extremely superior, making it lightweight and offering unparalleled playability.
Hamer's standard tremolo system is the Floyd Rose. The problem was how to attach it to the body, but Hamer was the first to embed a positive anchor in the body, and fitted it with a screw with a fine thread to allow extremely fine adjustment. This is not only because the tremolo system is firmly attached to the body, but also because the sustain transmission to the body is very good. Also, the studs never fall down.
The standard pickup is SLAMMER, which provides excellent sound quality that is different from Duncan or EMG. The finish is 12 coats of traditional cellulose lacquer. As you can see, the Hamer has a professional vibe all over it, making it a completely uncompromising guitar. Naturally, this is a guitar for top-class artists, and its playability and high-quality sound are outstanding.
Playability and Sound: The Chaparelle is like a lightning bolt, with great looks and playability. The neck width is standard, 1%, close to a Strat. (nut), 23% (12th fret), but the ebony fingerboard has a very gently curved surface, and the action (string height) is extremely low, making it unparalleled. Finger work is also possible. The nut is carefully carved by hand from cow bone. Chaparral has a hard rock image, but it is by no means a guitar that produces anything but a dull sound. This is due to Hamer's philosophy regarding guitars, which is that the guitar itself is an excellent sound source, and that the sound must come directly from the wood itself. As a result, Hamer's pickups are arrogantly underpowered. They are not the kind of transducers that will cause the amp to melt down quickly. On the contrary, Hamer's P.U. strikes a good balance between the two extremes. It's the only guitar that can produce a true wood sound, even though the single coil sound is hot enough to produce distortion from a tube amp. Bridge humbuckers have similar features. It's a really hot and authentic sound. This balance of power and tone combines perfectly with stinking trebles - scaldingly hot through a distorted tube amp - and exceptional sustain to make the guitar sound even better. perfectly matches Floyd Rose's playability. You can get high notes that scream, bend like a madman, and have enough sustain to use the tremolo, but there's so much power that the chords become fuzzy or blurry than you'd expect. It is surprising that it does not appear. In other words, this guitar has a very sharp and driven attack at the top end that makes you want a cover, but it also has a sweet tone that can make even the coldest of listeners cry. It maintains a sharpness and natural tone that allows it to be used naturally in blues solos depending on the mood of the moment.
