1985 AST 56 query

Hi. Im looking at an AST 56 from 1985. Could someone please tell me whether this guitar has the killer E pick-ups I have read so much about in this forum?

Also, I am not sure whether this model falls more towards the top end of Tokais's production line at the time or if it is more towards the bottom end. Any help on this much appreciated - as are any other comments that might guide me.

Since found out that the guitar has V stamped on the bottom of the pups (vintage?). If anyone can tell me about these pick ups - how good they are and how they compare to the notorious E pick ups - I would be mighty grateful. Time is a slight issue in this possible sale so any quick information would be fantastic. Thanks to all you experts in advance.
