Five Star TFS, FS, FSD & F Star Model Gallery

Here’s mine. I couldn’t pin down the model number exactly. First I thought it was a 55 like in the 1983 catalog, but eventually concluded it is a 120 considering the gold hardware and pickup covers that looked closer to the 120 in the 1984 catalog (though the binding is not abalone on mine). I’m...

    NGD - FV 80 (Flying V)

EXD 120, Nice! That would be very similar to my FSD 120 which I covered in this article (link). After looking carefully at all the catalogs I found one table that shows the differences between pickups offered but no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get the resolution of the image higher and...

    NGD - FV 80 (Flying V)

lol, I agree. It’s the same for the star shaped FVD that I have. That one even came with a locking nut - everything screamed “shredder”. But again, 7.15 radius. The only one so far I have that deviates from the the 7.25 radius is the TSG. I’ll be writing an article on it soon :)

TSG and LR headstocks scarf jointed?

I just got my hands on a TSG 60 from the early 1980s, which I will review in detail and post an article on soon. It has a 17 degree headstock angle like the original SG from the early 1960s. But I am curious - is the TSG headstock scarfjointed? Were the Love Rocks scarfjointed?

Which model do I have? Flying V edition

Update… the guitar has finally arrived! Will do pics and put up an article as usual in my website but in a few weeks. In the meantime, to answer some questions asked earlier in this thread: 1. Yes, push/pull function for coil tapping 2. “7okai” logo is a stricter that has some glitterish vibe to...
