I would like to know if any ES-100j Pickups have been documented. Would like to confirm that mine are original. Any information and pics would be greatly appreciated.

Picked up a 1981 ES-100J from Japan. It arrived Yesterday. It's gorgeous. Needs a good setup. Bridge was collapsed like they all are. Installed a Faber ABRM as I have my other Tokais' and they work great. Perfect string spacing. It sound great.

The seller claims it is the rare 120 with no veneer. If anyone know this seller, it would be cool to see some pics of the cavity. I don't believe it. I have seen some listings that claim the same and after getting pics, they were obviously veneer. It is a nice looking guitar...

I have two 1981 Tokais. One an LS and one an ES. They have identical style stamped serials. Very thin and shallow and very very hard to see. I see a lot of vintage ES and LS with thicker stamps and higher on the headstock. Are they fakes? A lot of times they have color filling. What gives?
