Thanks Sig..... appreciate the leg work. Man, that speckled Tele (almost looks like birdseye) is fantastic!
It does look like a seam at the high E ferrule as you spotted on my pics but then as you go above the ferrule toward the neck, the single piece graining is evident.
Buddy of mine got...
Hi guys,
Stumbled on this gem and I believe it to be a TE70. Can anyone help me identify?

Good eye .... yes that is a second serial number. My assumption was that they put another neck on while the ink was still wet and then swapped it out for the one on it now.
The narrow unstamped plate on my 78 ST60 measures 2-1/2" L x 1-13/16" W

I actually do have mine out of storage and playing it. I'll measure tonite.

That's a beauty ..... I think that Greco had some of the most gorgeous bursts (particularly the plaintops) during the Super Real / Mint Collection era EG's. I love the Screamin 82 pickups too...... man, they have really shot up in pricing.
There are plenty of radius gauges available - I prefer this type because they are notched so that you can put them over your strings and they rest on the fretboard:
