Nice to know that there are more Tokai forum users on Myspace... I started with a profile of my first band Bluezz Bastardzz, and not too long ago also added another for my second band Indigo Rocks. We're both doing bluesrock covers:

http://myspace.com/bluezzbastardzz
http://myspace.com/indigorocks

Just wanted to add that I "pimped" both sites with the slideshow feature, i.e. it shows all uploaded pictures either in slow motion from left to right or in random zoom mode (which I chose). If you want to use that for your own Myspace profile, you have to choose "global" or "USA" in your account settings, because this feature is not available for the German Myspace sites for example (don't know for other languages).

Furthermore the Indigo Rocks profile also has an own song now called "Set me free". It's an older recording with Nils' former band featuring a keyboard player instead of a second guitar, but he wrote it, and it sounds nice, so I thought "Why not"...

Update: There are four songs now available as a download as well which have the original MP3 bit rate of the uploaded files, not the transcoded 96 kbps at 22 kHz which is used in the Flash player.

Another bump for this thread, because today I found a group for Tokai guitars when searching through Myspace:

http://groups.myspace.com/TokaiGuitars

I already invited forum members from the Bluezz Bastardzz friends list, but probably forgot some people, so you can simply join that group yourself if you're a Myspace user.

Oh, I forgot... as well as my personal Myspace page (which I don't use much) there's also a "business" one...

And another...

Tommy Hidaka was the guy who lent his vintage originals to Tokai Gakki in the '70s, so they could copy them. At least that's what his Myspace site says:

http://www.myspace.com/tommyhidaka

There's also a great excerpt from one of his live recordings where he's shakin' it like Kossoff (mono with low quality though).

Two other interesting Japanese guitar players on Myspace (not related to Tokai, as far as I know):

Forgot.

Photo's

The Tele's are all Tokai's as is the sunburst Springy on the stand.
The Lake Placid is for sale very soon.

Recording

Most tracks recorded on my red Tokai Tele fitted with a Lindy Frailin in the bridge. No neck pup so essentially and Esquire now. 2nd solo on Heartbreak Train with the Lake Placid Tele.
For Straty tones I used the 78 black Springy (maple) fitted with Frailin Blues and 81 Sunburst (rosewood) fitted with Van Zandt blues pups.
Les Paul sounds via 1999 R9 historic. (sorry no Tokais)

Please have a look - a lot of the recording was done with a Tokai ES-120, and you will see many pics of me wielding the very same instrument Feel free to add us too, I always respond to messages!

Kinda heavy garage rock with all sorts of influences, for alt country to grunge etc.
