Hi folks,

Newb here. I've been wanting a Tokai LP style guitar for a while now. Next month I'll get the chance to go to Okinawa (staying in the Naha area) for a couple of weeks and I was wondering if there are any good places there to shop for gits. I will be in Tokyo, but only for layovers, and I doubt there would be time for a trip into the city. Any information you could give me to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

According to Tokai Gakki website, there are two authorized Tokai dealers in Okinawa . One is Fukuhara Music:

The other is Takara records:

Both appear to be very small shops and it is highly doubtful whether they will have a Tokai model of your choice in stock. When you are there, you might want to ask them and see if there are any other shops that could have a Tokai LS.

Or you may want to have a reputable shop somewhere else in Japan send your choice guitar to where you'll be staying. Or hell, even Tokai themselves! I did that for my first Tokai, a 2002 ES-120. I had it sent to my hotel room and it was waiting for me when I got there.
