Tokai advertised this model in their 84' catalogue as a 1960 model, so the long pickguard and cherry finish would be just about right I suppose. Gibbo phased in the short guard in early 61'. Kidney Grovers were a popular replacement M/H for many Gibbo's and are usually accepted by collectors as long as they?re original. So it's not that inacurate. Although I've stuck loads of old bits on my TES100 I don't think I'd bother with the logo change. It's the perfect guitar to lash up though. Then again all Tokais are. I've heard many stories of guys buying lashed up Tokais thinking they were getting a real vintage Strat or Tele. Scary
