My ES130 is nitro over poly, & it doesn't feel much different to the ES100 I briefly had. My Bacchus BST64V feels to me very similar to a Custom Shop Strat - same sort of soft nitro.
That looks extremely nice!youami said:Here's the RW Duncan I'd be going for:

This one has the same bridge as that possible DS-200R in the link I posted. Bacchus also use a bridge like this on the newer G-Player type Strats.youami said:Here's one of the Custom Pro's (1-piece body, Honduras Rosewood, super-strat style):

Looks like a DS-200 with a changed pickguard to me. Looks sweet, good price too (owing to the large burn in the finish I guess). The only problem I can see is re-sale value if you didn't like it, unless you market it as a fire sale relic or something.

Usually that kind of quality ash appears on the pro models. I'm not saying that's what it is..but it wouldn't surprise me if it's like mine...a 250 or even a 280. In which case that is just a sick deal. The only bummer would be the pickup thing. If it is the high model I'm pretty sure the "beefed up" SD's were unique to the pro models and not available else where.
And the funny thing is the MORE I see that burn mark the more I REALLY like it! LOL....like a cool battle scar.
Hell even for a 200 with swapped pickups I'd say that is still worth the money.

I might go for it, shame about the pickups - I'd prefer to live with the standard SD set-up for a few months and then change stuff later if I wanted to.

Yeah, I don't mind the burns (one on head stock as well). I forgot to bid, but luckily it's back up.
Did you have a look at the one in that ebay link? I contacted the guy and he was ok with shipping it to me. So thanks again to btmish for finding it, I'm thinking seriously about it. Wouldn't be too hard to go back to vintage style pickguard and pickup arrangement later on if I wanted to.
