Second time I see what would check out as a Japanese date format in a Tokai acoustic: Showa 46 = 1971 (November, 6th).
It looks like the full code is 46. 11. 6
Could that be November 6 or June 11 ?

The most commonly used format is generally YY MM DD, separated by slashes, hyphens, or dots if the Japanese characters for "year", "month" and "day" are not inserted after the numerals. The other Tokai with that kind of date just has the numbers spaced apart, this one has dots. The year could be plausible on both, and so far we have only seen it used in 1971.
