Gosh, I didn't even know they existed! Trying to line up what I could find out in all of 20 minutes - I take it they never really hit the shelves in numbers (meaning the few that did are now 99% unobtainium), but the design lived on as "Fret King" guitars (without Tokai being involved)?

Edit: I recently watched a Jerry Donahue video where he mentioned that Fret King is basically the "Vintage" guitars people (John Hornby Skewes UK), meaning those are probably MIC then seems they don't want to disclose where the guitars are made.

Rolf, I was wondering if you would change the title on this thread so that it begins with the year printed?

Then it will fall into place when we use this technique to search through catalogs:
