Tokai strats?

Okay, all these different Tokai strat models confuse me. What are considered to be the good ones and what are the ones to avoid and why?

Springysound, TST, AST from Japan are what I like! SilverStars are neat but I like the 50's and 60's style most! Just my humble opinion.TG

Hey LB! The TST's and AST's with the funky headstocks are great guitars infact my Fiesta red 56' AST is one of my favorites. Like with a Fernandes vintage series, just a like something to make them unique! But you are correct , the most desirable ones have the Fender style shape. I ran across one{AST} recently that was rounded off and painted the body color{candy apple red}, and it was a perfect copy of" The Strat" with gold knobs and the proper hardware. I passed , you dont see that happen often! I did buy a Music Man 2-12 from the late 70's that sounds real sweet! They were also selling a Paul Reed Smith 1/2 stack...what were they thinking? A 105% Howdy from Dallas! 8) TG

You are correct as always! The Epiphone shape is bad on an Epiphone, disgust'n on a Tok! And yes I relate to being old! I went on vaction, {Holiday to you my friend} were in every store, shop,restaurant I would name every song and artist that was played . Two weeks without being stumped! My wife is impressed, my 13yr. old Daughter is not. While dining out Sunday with family and Daughters friend I continued my run. when Foo Fighters "learn to Fly" came on I said "Foo Fighters Learn to Fly" the 20 someting waiter said "Good Call!" later the girls thought they had me...I played them! I waited...as the waiter past I said "Bowling for Soup, the Girl all The Bad Guys Want" and he said ..."Way ta go DAD!" DAD?! Fifty is coming November 3. I will learn to accept it, I will learn to accept it,I will ... I'm old but I know my ****! Cheers! TG P.S. Daughters friend cannot believe how "Cool your Dad is!" 8)

Funny thing is that my daughter loves Gary Moore and Texas Blues , She raids my CD collection and won't give me back my new Allman Brothers she sez that's Her Music! I pay Ten Dollars for everyone I miss ! I'm on a 18 day streak! Thats why she's bored!TG
