By "Reborn" you mean "Les Paul Reborn"? It's a bit confusing with Reborn Old in the mix.

What about other set neck guitars made around this time like LC series, TFV and TEX (V and Explorer). They are much rarer than sunburst Les Paul styles but are they included in the same serial scheme?

LCs yes, the others seem to use a different serialisation, at least in 1983-1985 I'm sure they do.

Good idea Jacco !

I am concerned with other Tokai models using the same 7 digit serialization and that LS quantities might be considerably lower as a result.
The registry shows some LC's, Springy Sounds, Breezy Sounds,
Silver Stars, Explorers, ES335's and SG's using 7 digit serials within the LS ranges posted above.
I doubt Tokai would use duplicate serial numbers for each model.
Tokai seems to do a run of teles, then a run of LP's then SG's as required, in no particular order. It is also hard to find consecutive LP serial numbers, I have seen consecutive # pairs only twice over the years.

Are you certain the #6 in #0011064, your last 1980 Love Rock number is correct Jacco? I don't show any 1980 -1981 Love Rock ser # sequence overlaps and if the 6 is a 4 or less that would still hold true. Exceptions are always possible I guess. The only other sequence overlap of the last 5 digits I'm aware of, is between the end of 1981 and the beginning of 1982. The last 1981 I have documented is 1981 #15193 and the 1st 1982 is #10974. The last 1982 # I have on file is either 12111 or possibly 12771. The middle 1's or 7's are blurry.
Last 5 numbers of LP serial numbers are again in sequence from 1982 thru 1985

It would also be interesting to find a 1977 range or even a 1977 LP
example. The earliest I have found was 1978 # 00107 and the 1st Tokai custom shop LP which does have Les Paul on the headstock without a "reborn" label below. Both have 2 pc necks of course.

Yes, it would interesting indeed to find a 1977 model. The only mention of it and no pics are on Gottfried?s website: they would have launched LS50, 60, 80, 100 and LC100. If so there will be only very few for the earliest 1978 model I have found is 8000101 and it?s from the 1978 Tokai catalog :D
With visible 2P neck indeed. About these 2P necks: I have found these as a rule up the 600s, in between 700s and 1200s you can find both 1P and 2P regardless of model. I have seen a 8001214 LS100 with 2P neck.

I have received A LOT of info the past day and need some time to absorb it. With this came a 1979 9000202 serial LS60 with 2P neck. Any thoughts?
Leftover and returned Burny? I found a lot of Burny?s having 200 serials, including my former GT.
