Reborn Old on ebay

Hey,

I spotted a 1980 Tokai Reborn Old on ebay:

This is one of those rare Reborns that everyone's into, isn't it? According to http://www.japanguitars.co.uk/Page%201%20history.html the Reborn Old was old made for only 6 months.

The guitar looks to be in good shape from the few pictures available. The price is still fairly low since it's somewhat early in the auction. What do people think? Is this a good buy? It seems like a good buy to me if the winning bid is $800 or so.

It's a lower end gutar, an LS-60, the LS-80's and higher have better specs such as 1 piece back, fret-edge binding, and 'correct' 18 degree headstock angle.

Still for anything less than about $900 it would be a good buy, and it looks in very good condition.

That's a Killer Les Paul ! A true "Lawsuit" Tokai-Killer Color !
Nice figuring on the Split Maple top ! I've had a few of the LS60's and truthfully that's the Les Pauls that turned me onto Tokai's- Go for it !!
With the VH1's Humbuckers installed that thing probably screams/sustains forever!

I have reborn old LS50 and with some upgrades (pickups, pots, caps, bridge, taipiece) in fantastic guitar even is an entry model.
