Yesterday I traded my Gibson LP BFG with this Greco , I saw him , I played him and there was love.
But it is a strange one , he has block inlays , but the headstock is standard , he has a tummy (belly) cut and there is no serial number .The seller told me he's from 1978.
Who can tell me more. The pickups are not original.

Nice bridge posts :)
At first glance I would say 90s.
Does it have a pancake body?
Do you have pics of the cavities?

Hmm, early Greco routing, 1970s indeed. No serial numbers, block inlays and that logo must be 1975ish. 1976 catalog does feature a standard with block inlays, but in 1976 they have a serial number, so must be earlier but not much earlier because of the logo type.

Jacco thanks , helpfull info. I'm very happy with the Greco , plays amazing and has "mojo" , feels like that old pair of shoes.

Here you go, from the 1974 catalog, same pic in the 1976 catalog but we know that the logo had changed by then.

Ik can trade my SD alnico's for a matched set Maxons (1972), to make my LP more or less original. Is that a good trade ?
These are the pickups (black,no covers):

Thanks for the link. Almost the same guitar , mine is just a bit older and this one is an EG600 , confusing al that series.

Hi again. I'm still searching for info and I must say it's confusing. My LP has a maple neck , but the info I found say's that it has a mahogany neck.

Where they made with maple and mahogony and with a ebony finger board?
Is there somebody who can translate the catalogue a few posts earlyer?
Thanks.

It's a design of Shigeru Narumo. He was trying to improve on the design and playability of the Les Paul guitar.
