I just started to take my new Tokai Tele to pieces ( ) and wanted to take out the Seymour Duncan Hotrails in the bridge position and put in the original Tokai P'up again. Now I'm looking at all these wires, and the SD has 4, the Tokai only 2 in black and white. Where do I put those two ends. I understand, it has to be at the switch and the volume pot, but I am not sure, which one and where exactly. I don't want to screw it up...
THANKS!!!

Hi Kaze!

I used the following to wire my TE with SDs.

As you just have 2 wires (b/w) I suggest to try black to the switch first, and white to ground (i.e. the vol-pot). If you put the switch in the middle-position (i.e. both pickups) and the volume goes down compared to each pup alone then just swap them (i.e. phase-shift).

Well; at least that'd be my approach if I don't have details for a pup.
Cheers. Rupert

It works!!!!!! Everything is fine, black on pot and white on switch was right!

Hi Kaze!

Just in case you are up for some more soldering:

I put one of these into my TE. Absolutely amazing!!!!

However, you'd have to swap tone and vol-pots because the C-switch does not fit into a TE in the tone position.

Cheers!

Katrin,
I've purchased 2 of them during the last 2 years ... prices were increasing tremendously and are not longer reasonable ( consider taxes and custom fees in Germany )

Purchase some loose electric parts and solder them properly ... you'll have the same effect ...

Both are reliable sellers ... or buy German (Rockinger, Thomann, MusicProduktiv)
