Hello to all,

I posted a question about replacing VII pickups an a goldstar yesterday.
Comments were very useful, thank you

I've only recently discovered these great guitars and have acquired a few.
I had a Yamaha SBG you see in the photo when I was young in late 70s and have purchased other Japanese makes recently as well
Talk about addictive
Don't drink, don't smoke, so what the hell

Again Hello, and I share the guitar family with all that appreciate them

hi, nice collection indeed!

silverstar, springies and a loverock ...

gotta love that yamaha ... and what s the tele? the v is a greco, correct?

Hi Chu71,

Yes V is a Greco; built like a tank, and sounds like one too.

The tele is a 1985 MIJ, which I believe is from the Ibanez, Greco factory; it has upgraded US electronics and bridge. All twang

The Yamaha is like a treasure from my youth.
I think these are trully under rated and evaluated.
I was playing with a friend a few days ago; the Yamaha and the LoveRock side by side. At low gain, low volume they were both well behaved. Crank up the amp, the LoveRock starts to crack, the Yamaha stilll sounds like a beast in full clarity.

They are all nice, looking for an old Explorer now

Regards
