I just bought this guitar from a gentleman on e-bay.

Does anybody have any info on these early Navigator guitars,
and does anybody know if it has an id "name".

What follows is a description from the seller and some pics.

REALLY curious to try it out, since they do seem to be pretty rare

Up for auction is my 1980 Navigator ES-335 semi hollow body guitar. I am the second owner of this fine instrument which is all original and near mint except for a small chip in the finish only on the upper edge of the headstock. The quality, tone, and playability of this guitar rivals any original es-335 I have ever played and I have owned quite a few from the early sixties. The guitar was built in Japan with quality materials and sports a brazilian rosewood fretboard with fret edge binding just like the original big name we know. The finish is a washed/trans cherry of nitrocellulose lacquer and the figuring of the maple is gorgeous and very hard to capture with a camera. The neck is between a 59 and 60 profile and extemely fast and comfy. You folks that know Japanese early 80's guitars know the quality and accuracy of this intrument.

Now that you have this, you should sell your SA1200 to me :D

Eh, eh, which one would you like, the Natural or the Sunburst?
Both from 1980 you know..............

And now this Navigator in Cherry, apparently from 1980 too,
really curious to see how it compares with those Greco sisters....... :D

Now my selection of 335 colors is complete,
until the next "must have" of course..................
