Anyone done this before. I have a feeling the VH1 pickups in my Burny are only 2 wire not 4 so can this still be done without having 4 wire pickups. Thanks guys for any help you can provide.

If you feel brave enough, you can convert your two-wire humbuckers to four-wire humbuckers ...

The more important modification would be the out-of-phase switch for the middle position which can be realized with a new switchable volume pot that reverses the polarity of only one humbucker. The other mod is splitting the coils of one or both humbuckers which isn't that interesting in my opinion, because it's a rather weak sound not very similar to a real single coil pickup. This modification would need 4-wire pickups though, but not the first one.
