Interesting stuff, but partly at odds with some things I was told by a pickup maker. How reliable is the article do you think?
 
I'm always in a learning mode so, I look at different crap, and there ya go .........

I recently won a matched set of Bare Knuckle, "Black Dog" humbuckers on the 'bay. Looking forward to trying these out as I have heard a lot of good things about this British brand of handwound pickups...

I have a bare knuckle 'mule' in one of my Tokais, definetely up there with the US 'boutique' winders!
