Guitar lesson with Paul Gilbert!!

PG announced his European tour recently and for every show there are going to be 6 VIP tickets. A ?130.00 VIP ticket gets you, admission to the soundcheck, top seats for the gig AND a 1 hour lesson with the shredmaster himself!!

Didn't think there would be much chance of getting one, but today I got a 'VIP ticket confirmed' email from the event organisers for the Newcastle show in November

I'm sure I'll be in with 5 'kids' who can out-shred me, but who cares, what an opportunity!

I'm at an age now where I've pretty much outgrown 'shredding' (still younger than PG though ) but the chance to sit for an hour with a player of that calibre is a rare opportunity. Apparently he'll be doing the same on his next US tour.

That sounds quite good value to me. Michael Schenker was charging ?200 for a guitar lesson on his recent UK Club Tour earlier this year (show was excellent btw).
