Only got this recently but funds are a little tight and it's last-in-first-out policy round here.
1979 flagship Tokai Custom (Black Beauty model)
Originally had fret-edge binding but since been refretted, perfect action.
Ebony fretboard (a rarity these days), nice and jet black, MOP inlays.
Has been played... hard. Lots of dings and dongs on this 30-something year old.
A few breaks in the nitro top coat (pictured), all part of the rock 'n' roll appeal.. still plays wonderfully.
Chunky 59 profile neck.
Lots of worming on the back.
Stock Gotoh pickups but CTS pot and orange drop caps as upgrades.
Weighs 4.28kg, all mahogany body likely 1-piece.
Comes with pink lifton-style case (non-original but looks old enough to be!)
