Hi all. I'm quite new in the forum but followed already quite a while. So here is my first thread, introducing the Explorer variant EXD 120. I think it's pretty rare, I found it only in one catalog so far, 1984 from Japan, and there is not even a pic, just mentioned in the text. I imported it from Japan. This one has a serial number from 1983. I found pics in the net from an identical sister from 1982.

The left one is a Greco.

Seems to be all original, only the tremolo arm was missing and is new now. As far as I read the specs are:
- Basswood body
- P1-14BZ pickups, they are splitted, one of the pots is push pull
- Abalone-pearl binding
- 'Flying Dragon' (or whatever to call it) inlay

And it sounds and plays great.

From the 1983 & 1984 catalogs:

"P1-14BZ with 4 core shield is used for models with dual sound system and coil tap system"


The covers were removable.
