I would like to install these in my future Edwards LP :

Is it easily done ? I'm asking because I'm worried wether the hole sizes are big enough or not.

Thanks

Hey Professor Jones, contact forum member ACY.
He has the experience, since he modified a lot of Tokais with CTS pots.

BTW, may I ask you, to use - for non Tokai related inquiries -the
Other section
Discussion area for Greco, Burny, Orville and other MIJ Guitars.

Thanks.

I can confirm that CTS pots & switchcraft jacks are too big for Edwards guitars.
Happy drilling!

Use a countersink! So it?s done in a few minutes without a risk!

Use a fine, curved blade modelling file:

Takes no time at all :D

I have changed the tuners on all of my Tokais. They had to be reamed out. It is very safe and quick to use a hand reamer. I put Klusen/tone pro 16:1 and they rock!

Yes, the stock tuners are just fine. I bought one set of these just to see how well they were made and I was stuned at the difference in quality. They are more like the originals and do have a better gear ratio. But it it expensive , just under $80.00. They are a better set of tuners and they feel much beefier than the stock tuners. The mod was very simple and worth the trouble to me . They look better also. 8)

I changed the tuners on mine to Grovers, mostly just for cosmetics. Their design is a bit more rugged and robust than klusons too.
