Hamer has a factory in Arlington, Illinois, USA, and is a talented manufacturer that is at the top of the new generation of American guitar manufacturers. To most people, Hamer may seem like one of the newer manufacturers that has suddenly come into the limelight in recent years, but in reality, Paul Hamer produced several Explorer-type guitars in the early 1970s. Since then, it has continued to be the mainstream of American-made rock guitars. In general, there are two ways to make solid guitars, and they can be categorized into two types: mechanically manufactured bodies in which the neck is joined with bolts, and types in which the neck is joined to a body with an arched top (set neck). Hamer followed the set-neck method and created extremely unique finishes on highly developed guitars, which made him famous. But Hamer is truly a wonder machine. For example, the Chaparral has a Strat-like body with finishes such as ice pearls and pink pearls that make it look like the sun is rising, and its price makes sense from its appearance. Every Hamer is a perfect guitar, and once you get your hands on one, you'll definitely want to play it and won't be able to put it down.
Structure and features of the Hamer guitar: The Hamer guitar uses a one-piece Honduras mahogany pattern stock (hardwood for wooden molds) for the body. The neck is made of straight-grained maple wood at its core, with book-matched maple wood glued on both sides. This creates a counterbalance effect and helps keep neck warp to a minimum. The fingerboard is made of straight-grained ebony or rosewood, and the inlays are the most beautiful and elegant mother-of-pearl position marks. In order to obtain accurate pitch, the frets are made of slightly fine nickel containing 18%, and are designed to produce a warm sound. Hamer has consistently maintained its original design policy. That is why we carefully select the materials we use and use the highest quality parts. Because it has a one-piece body, the entire guitar resonates and has a very long sustain. This quality of sustain is one of the best features of the Hamer, and is difficult to obtain from other guitars. Hamer's standard tremolo system is the Floyd Rose. The problem was how to attach it to the body, but Hamer was the first to embed a positive anchor in the body, and fitted it with a screw with a fine thread to allow extremely fine adjustment. This is not only because the tremolo system is firmly attached to the body, but also because the sustain transmission to the body is very good. Also, the studs never fall down.
The standard pickup is SLAMMER, which provides excellent sound quality that is different from Duncan or EMG. The finish is 12 coats of traditional cellulose lacquer.
