Rare MB Headstock Strat-Can I learn more about this please?

Interesting that mine has 9=3 stamp (although the 9 has been partially oversprayed and the = sign is faint) I think I may have purchased mine around the same time - so maybe it is a date code? with the V being the painted headstock

    THE BLIND TEST ENDED

k01 - Tokai ST-100 k02 - Tokai TST-50 k03 - Tokai TST-50 k04 - Fernandes R9 It doesn't help that he strings catch your fingers more on the opening chords on K02 and K03, but that's just a lame excuse in case I am wrong! K01 definitely sounds richer and similar to k04 k02 and k03 sound...

Rare MB Headstock Strat-Can I learn more about this please?

Hi both, Here is a picture of the fingerboard from the body end. It looks like a laminated from the curve? I love the action too?. Thanks for the TST-60 id and breakdown Peter. That is really useful. I love this guitar and would seek other similar ones, so the identification is great news.

How do I tell whether the fretboard is lam or slab? It doesn't appear to be laminate to my eye though. The neck is one piece, with a rosewood(?) fretboard. (See photo) Yes, the pots are on a brass plate, with rounded corners, mounted on the back of the scratchplate and does not extend much...

Is the holy grail realy the best?

The strings are the core, the source of the vibration, the acoustic body only resonates to the frequencies the string generates. Always worth popping on a new set of strings 12 hours before an important performance. Even a Strad suffers with shot strings!

OW Strat - help identifying it please

I have an olympic white, turning darker nicely, green pick guard Goldstar sound strat. Unusual tuners, one piece maple neck, rest looks pretty authentic. Pictures attached. Would this be built in 1984 and what model is it please? If anyone can help it would be great to know! Thanks in advance...

Rare MB Headstock Strat-Can I learn more about this please?

I would like to know what model it is and when it was made and anything else interesting about it (ie what the body is made of etc); according to the really useful online info and book, very few of these were shipped and I guess it must be early 80's as that was about when I bought it, but I...
