    What Springy is this?

I saw a springy sound with serial number 1034276 and I wondered what model it is. It's a lake placid blue 60's style strat with a round lam rosewood fingerboard. What kind of neck shape would that model have, and what is it worth?

    I won, but I didn't :(

Is it a Tokai strat? I might be interested. I'm talking to the Jeff guy about maybe selling me a different Tokai strat, I don't know if he'll do it, but after looking at some ST-80s, I can understand how 435 dollars is pretty low.

Right, but I wanted it this time, and without a super high price.

    I won, but I didn't :(

I got the winning bid on this springy, but it was below the reserve price, so I'm bummed out. I proxy bid up to 501 dollars, and the reserve still wasn't met. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3711906542 Is that price reasonable? I know it's a really nice example of a 54...

    Shining up a matte finish

Well, sorry it didn't work out. Maybe it's a different kind of toothpaste or something. Here's a picture of my MIM strat's headstock (they have a matte finish) It's a terrible pic, but you can see the tuner peg reflection in it. It's not super shiny or anything, but about what you would...

    post lawsuit tokai strats

is there any real quality difference in the Goldstar Sounds made right after the headstock change? I've been looking at a few pictures, and it looks like to me that the headstock could be altered to the regular fender shape with just a bit of cutting. No, I don't plan to buy a post lawsuit...

    Shining up a matte finish

I play guitar with my teeth enough, and have enough toothpaste on my guitars that they're in fine shape.

    Shining up a matte finish

    1. Toothpaste isn't incredibly abrasive, after all, it doesn't wear your teeth away, does it? I understand the fragility of a Nitro finish, but I believe it would be fine. You could test it on a spot on the back to find out, but I doubt there would be any damage. 2. I'd just stick to the...

I'm in the market for a good Tokai Strat

I understand that transport would be pricey, and pounds don't convert well to dollars, but what would you charge?

Tokai Collection For Sale due to "GAS" Over-spend

Well crap. I'm really interested, but it seems the US dollar has lost too much power, there's no way I can afford it. I know the price isn't that high in pounds, but in US dollars, that's about 770 dollars or so. I wish I could cut a deal with you or something, but I haven't really got...

Tokai Collection For Sale due to "GAS" Over-spend

I'm interested in that springysound. Tokai tuners would be the round unsealed ones instead of kluson style, right? E-mail me at [email protected] and we'll talk.

    1983 Tokai '62 strat

Still for sale? I'm interested if you'll send me some pics and describe the neck for me. [email protected]

    Shining up a matte finish

Toothpaste my friend... The white kind. Then swirl remover if you still aren't satisfied, but regular toothpaste should do the trick if you keep rubbing at it long enough.

I'm in the market for a good Tokai Strat

I've heard nothing but wonderful things about these guitars, and I need a new nice strat to sling, so what can you guys tell me about buying one of these guitars? I live in the United States (namely Missouri)? What should I expect to pay for a good gigging guitar? Which models are the best...
