Hello,

It seems hard to confirm that it would be a MIJ: any help, please?

The headstock shape looks MIJ, doesn't it?
But the seller has measured a 9,5" radius with a paper gauge on the strings and I count 11 screws on the pickguard.

Thanks!

seems to be MIJ. no ser# is odd, could be in the neck pocket though. if it's a genuine old 86 onwards and little played, worth a closer look.

Thanks for your reply. The problem with "a closer look" is that I would have to drive 600km from home...
Actually my dilemma is : should I take the risk to buy it?
Would it be catastrophic to discover a MIK at this price?

I don't think mik was happening in the 80's. You could ask them to remove the pickguard and photograph the marks inside, should give you model and colour.
