Hi,
I am thinking of buying a 1973-4 TE 280/300/350 (Matsumoku factory) and was wondering what wood the body is made of? The neck seems to be three piece maple (as per catalogue) but I just can’t find any online resource that tells me about the body. I have seen listings by some reliable guitar vintage dealers and stores suggesting it is Ash but the Japanese seller himself does not know which wood and suggested that early Greco/Matsumoku did not use good wood. Hence, I thought I should ask here.
Any help will be truly appreciated
