Can anyone tell me how to identify which factory a Casino was made by the serial number? Also, approx. production dates for each factory and the differences in build or quality?

Thanks!

See pictured below two examples of Terada made Epi Casinos & notice the serial # scheme; no letters & 5 digits.

notice the body binding meets the (maple) neck @ the 17th fret

Super quality & great sound :D but the neck profiles are very thin :(

The Terada made Epiphones start in 1987 when Yamano took over the Gibson distribution and agency in Japan and contracted Terada to make them.
The Orville by Gibsons start in 1988 and Yamano got Terada to build them as well.

The Terada made Epiphones seem to have 5 digits with the first digit being the year.

Pre 1987 the Epiphones were made by Matsumoku and distributed by Aria.
