Thanks!!! Sent an email to the vendor. Hoping they will ship to US.

Keep looking. Message Cliff Jordan and see if he has one. Cliff’s Guitar World on line or something similar.

Nothing on his website but I sent him a note. Really unfortunate the other vendor won’t even respond to my emails. You’d think at minimum they’d at least say they won’t ship to the US. The hunt continues.

Good luck. The GS color, or 2 tone burst, is the more common color though none of these are common.

Keep at it and one may surface. They did make them. Just not that many.

It is very common to make attempts to contact Japanese sellers/shops and never hear a word from them; this happens all the time.

I have an early 1980 YS ST-80 with rosewood I was thinking of letting go. I'll post more pix if your'e still looking. This is all I could find at the moment.

That's a beauty. I hadn't noticed the foil under the ground plate before, but clearly it is an "A" marked original pickguard.

The whole guitar looks original. It's all there.

If I had the money I would snag it.

Yes, all original with the exception of the headstock decals. I found some repros a few years back because the originals finally wore away. I believe it's a soft V neck, what do you think? BTW, serial number is 0009388 on type 2 plate. No 80 stamp on fretboard, only the oval sticker remnant on back of neck. No ST-80 stamps in neck pocket or anywhere else.
Thanks,
Tim

Soft V neck with the rosewood board is my favorite.

I have that on my '81 ST80R and love that guitar.
