The "Traditional Series" (TST) still has the Fender head stock.

Hi, I'm new to the forum, sorry if I'm breaking any rules. Let me tell you that I have always been a Gibson boy, but now in an act of impulsiveness I have bought this guitar from an English boy. I hope it's a good guitar because I know very little about Fender style guitar. If you can tell me something about my new guitar I will be delighted to read it to you. Thank you so much!

Congratulations.

I don't think the Reverb listing was correct.

It was calling it a TST50, but it is from 2016 and is made in Japan.

It should be a higher model number.

Tokai stamped bridge saddles.

Is it a V neck?

Pictures from the Reverb listing.

As far as I understand for new Tokais there is a kind of domestic line (in the catalogue) which follow the yen=model number rule and there some models which are custom ordered by Tokai country distributors like Tokai Germany, Tokai Switzerland, etc. The 2nd ones dont follow this yen= model number rule. Strats are often called "TST-50" but specwise they are more a highend model. Tokai Germany sold TST-50s for about 1500 Euro....
There is another TST-50 from Tokai Switzerland on Reverb with a Flamed maple neck, etc... asking price more than 2000 Euro...
I just aquired a used TST-50, which just looks awesome.... 2 piece ash body, maple neck with satin finish, leighweight....

Hi all. Since the TST95 is "traditional", presumably it has a 7.25" fretboard radius? I can't find this information listed anywhere online. Also, why are so few of these models available to buy online, either new or used. Was it a very limited run?

Do you mean the TST95 not being available or the Fender headstock?

The issue with the headstock relates to where you live and where Tokai can or has been willing to market them.

Tokai made Fenders for over 15 years for the Japanese domestic market. So they have been sensitive to Fender’s concerns. Not to mention the lawsuit in 1982 in the UK.

I mean TST95s seem very hard to find for sale online at all. I can find only a small number of examples.

Do you know the fingerboard radius?

Not sure. I rarely notice the radius on a guitar and just adapt to a guitar if I like the way it sounds.

What does get to me is a long scale neck with two octaves. Way too much real estate for me.

Do you know the fingerboard radius?

Here is a Reverb listing with a 2020 TST895 saying the radius is R240 which I believe is 240mm and roughly 9.5"

Tokai TST-95 Stratocaster 2020 Golden Sunburst RRP £1199 | Reverb

Mint condition, purchased from new a few months ago. Plays and sounds wonderful, the spec puts USA models to shame at this price point (two piece body, bone nut, Gotoh tuners, Japanese Sanko fretwire) Great set up, lovely action, really effortless to play. The "U" shaped neck barely fills the hand a tad more than modern C (like 60's Strat), it's totally familiar and fast to play, not to mention gorgeous figuring on the wood. The trem system works perfectly and stays in tune. Fit and finish are immaculate. I have ab'd this with the American Original 50s stratocaster and there was nothing in it. The build quality comfortably surpasses American Pro strats that I have owned (2), no question. I'm eyeing up a Custom Shop, hence the sale. This really is a lot of guitar for the money. I will pay postage. UK only please. The guitar comes with original tweed style hard case and will ship in original box, just like I received it from the shop. Thanks for looking.
