Hello guys, i'm from brazil and I'm buying a tokai sd65 guitar and it's a little shabby, I'm looking for information about this guitar but I can only find material in Japanese, I'd like to know the information about the guitar, bridge model, type of wood on the body, neck and fretboard.

The idea is to renovate it, and update the pickups with Seymour Duncan, the bridge is another point, I'll probably have to buy it on ebay in the United States.

Do you think this is a good guitar to rebuild?

Looks like a partscaster. Those neck plates are available on line. No serial number.

I suspected it was actually a pastcaster. The body is probably original, but the neck is not.

Yeah. The neck is definitely not a Tokai neck.

As far as whether it’s a good investment, that’s hard to say. I have no idea how much it’s selling for and I can’t even tell what it is.

If that were an SD 65 that was completely stock, and in perfect condition, they still don’t sell for a lot of money.

The guitars that are in most demand are the Fender replicas of vintage models.
