Description of item

Fender Japan's electric bass, JB62 jazz bass body only!
Royal road 3 tone sunburst! made in Japan! Most of the super beauty products used in the collection !
Made in 1999-2002! Crafted in JAPAN's P cereal! (Ultra-rare cereal bottom notation type)
Made by Tokai Gakki with outstanding quality/manufacturing that was produced only for a very short period of time ! (*Confirmed by internal notation)
Familiar with Japan vintage, it is a gem of Tokai manufacturing!

There may be some scratches/feeling of use due to aging storage, etc., but considering the aging, it is a superb beauty product!
Good neck! Fret about 9-10%! Maintained/cleaned! Sound output is OK without gully when checking! ( as of 20.1/29, 20.1/29)
As expected, there may be dullness/screw rust on the pegs, etc., but it would be a level that no one would think that it is about 18 to 21 years old!
Flatwound strings are currently stretched, making it the best gem for jazz performances!

Anyway, a very elaborate / carefully made gem!
In order to reduce / eliminate unnecessary noise, copper plate shielding / grounding processing applied inside each PU bottom / control cavity!
I've bought a lot of FENDER JBs and actually picked them up and played them, but this is a really well-made individual!
A gem capable of versatile sound makeup that can be used for all genres!

The narrow nut width/slim narrow/slim neck makes it perfect for women/people with small hands!

Super easy to play normally, excellent sound! It is a gem that can be used on the site of Live / Recording!
Super rare hard-to-find item that has already been discontinued / production completed!
Highly recommended for those who like JAPAN VINTAGE and are looking for high-quality domestic JAZZ BASS !
The number of distribution is extremely small, and if you are looking for a good individual, it will definitely take a lot of time and effort, so if you have been looking for it for many years, don't miss it!
It is a gem of a gem that is highly recommended for those who are looking for high quality domestic JB!
It is a premium treasure base that is not available now!
Cheap bargain!

"In addition to making their own highly reputable Stratocaster replicas/copies/knock-offs/whatever depending on your level of wingnut, they were tasked with producing Fenders, but higher-end ones for the Japanese Domestic Market only, so most of the Tokai-produced Fenders never made it Stateside."

Tokai// Fender Japan Custom Edition ★★ TOKAI MADE ★★ ST68-120SPL ★★ ラッカー★★ SALE >> 30,000円OFF/ビンテージ/¥248000/状態:B+

Fender Japan Stratocaster in stock by TOKAI MADE!
(For Tokai fans, we are posting in the TOKAI category.)

TOKAI has been manufacturing high-precision ST and TL since before Fender Japan was established. From the middle of the 80's, he was forced to shift to original model manufacturing due to the technology from woodworking to painting and the high degree of clone accuracy. I once manufactured a "very small part" of F/J products.

In Fender Japan, in 1992, Fender was created in 1992 by the "Custom Edition Team" responsible for the craft section of "EXTRAD Production" pursuing traditional vintage models since the 1980s (and product planning and development / R&D with USA Fender). Japan Developed and sold the original Telecaster, the 10th anniversary commemorative model. From the following year in 1993, new models not limited to vintage specifications will be introduced as the "Custom Edition Series" such as Robbenford Signature, BASS VI, and ST with Race Sensor PU.

This product is N serial = made in 1993. In 1993, "ST68-120SPL" was newly published as a "68-spec Strat" that had never existed before in the "Custom Edition" lineup of the Fender Japan catalog. Until the previous year, "Large head + 4-point stop = 1967 specification"

* Tiger logo (gold)
* Crewson specification pegs, but for the first time in 1993 "ST68-120SPL"

*WITH SYNCHRO ~ CBS Logo (black)
* Made by Schaller, F-key pegs are used, but for some reason it disappeared from the custom edition frame in the catalog from 1994 the following year. and return.

A few years later, it will be revived as the 68TX and will be a standard lineup, but it will be "only for this one year as a Custom Edition", and it is very interesting that one part of this prototype product was manufactured by TOKAI. (In recent years, the re-evaluation has been increasing, especially around the production of TOKAI for the "1st term Fender Japan" from 82 to 97)

Other specifications: --- MAPLE CAP / pasted maple NECK, Alder BODY, pickup "USA ST-VINTAGE " , Schaller F-key peg, steel block bridge

I have experience playing the same product "ST68-120SPL" manufactured by Fujigen, but this product has a "sound" that can be clearly understood as "Ah, TOKAI's guitar" at the raw sound stage. SS60 Maple Cap / pasted maple” and I felt the nuance of the same quality and grinned unintentionally.

Also, the fact that this product is "68" instead of "69" is even more interesting. Lacquer coating has been adopted for this individual, probably based on this point.

"The quality of wood, paint, and total precision" by these Tokai is "output by Fender USA pickup", in other words, it is output as Fender official. I think many TOKAI fans can feel that. (By the way, as those of you who are familiar with it know, the Custom Edition, like the EXTRAD , did not have a seal on the back of the head in the early days. Including such exceptional circumstances such as external manufacturing), It's black, so it's hard to tell from the photo, but there are some small scratches on the body and dents. It is beautiful including the state!

Since it is a <collector release item>, I can assure you that it will be difficult to get a chance to get "same specification black" in the future!!

Similar to this Goldstar from 2012 with a Fender color code.

OWB is a Fender Japan color, "off white blonde".

From the eBay listing:

Fender Japan Telecaster
Serial: A002808
Manufactured in 1997-1998 from the serial number.
Probably manufactured by TOKAI and built by Dyna.
I think it is TL62-60 or so from the catalog.
Both neck and rear pickups have been replaced with Duncan pickups, and the weak point of the telecaster, the lack of power in the neck PU, is also compensated for.
