Starting this thread to show the range of guitars that were called ST100s.

Some had gold hardware, some had nickel.

Some had small neck plates, some had bigger ones.

Some had flamed necks, some didn't.

Some had painted bodies, some didn't.

Would love to see pics of the whole range of these guitars.

Here is my 1979 ST100GS

It is a bit atypical because it has nickel finish hardware original from the factory. Apparently this was an option as I have seen it on other ST100s. There is no trace of gold wash anywhere on the hardware, so I am certain this is how it left the factory.

It is definitely an ST100. I have the original warranty card, fret board stamp, neck pocket stamp, etc. All numbers and codes match.

Amazing. And thanks!

Would the natural one be an ST105?

Thanks Cliff. And your guitars and pictures are amazing. Thanks for sharing those!

So far I have seen ST100s in:

- GS, BL, & N colors

- gold and nickel hardware

- maple and rosewood fret boards (assuming all are V's?)

- flamed and plain necks

- black bobbin (Cliff's) and E pickups

By the spring of 1982 color options for ST100s include:

GS, YS, N, BL, BB, FO, MR, and MB.

Has anyone ever seen an ST100 in YS, BB, FO, MR or MB??? I haven't.

Would love to see a picture of any of those. 8)

Very cool. So another anomaly: a rosewood board on a V neck with a 1 ply pick guard.

It's hard to tell which guitars had a V neck with the catalog specs because they changed between 1979 to 1982.

I need to link this to siamackz's thread on his ST100 with a rosewood board. That one had me stumped. Now I am seeing that Tokai had at least 2 versions of a rosewood board on a V neck, The ST80 of 1980/81 and the ST100 of 1979/1980?

I love Tokais... 8)

This is the only example of this color I have seen if it is in fact different than metallic green.

From Ian's book showung the 2010 Tokai convention, owned by forum member colinhotrod, an ST100 Goldstar in translucent green.

This may be the latest one I’ve seen other than the trans green one above.

ATO posted this from Facebook. Apparently block logo>script.

ATO says the above ST100 is the same trans green TG guitar from Iain’s book. Wow.

That's a tremendous 100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I'm speechless. It's too great a look. And I found out from this photo that you also have a square hard case with a brown cover and pink lining!
