Neck does not look right.

Production could have been September or October?

VII pickups indicate 1984 year model and an TST50.

Fender serial number, so dates from 1986 or before. 1983-1986.

This guitar has been on eBay forever.

No idea what it actually is.

Color is very light.

Neck and neck plate are wrong

Pickups and ground plate are Tokai. Not sure about the rest.

Extremely Rare Pearl Pink Tokai ST55 Stratocaster | #247631693

Fantastic condition, all original 1985 Tokai Goldstar Sound Strat. Extremely rare Pearl Pink colour. This colour was only supplied as a custom colour by Tokai and I have only ever seen one other guitar of this colour and spec. I have owned the guitar from new and so can vouch for it's authenticity. It was bought from new in Cambridge in 1985 and has had extremely little use - never been gigged, never been "in a band" and has only had very light use and shows no signs of wear and tear. I am not a great player and in playing terms has had almost no use. It really is in A1 condition. Plays fantastically, nice low action, no buzzes and has an absolutley beautiful tone with the classic "out of phase" strat twang. There are a few so called "1984/1985" examples of Tokais advertised since this was the period when Tokai were producing better guitars than many original Fenders and had recently been sued by Fender for producing copies that were so close to the original 1950's and 60's guitars. They even had a "Fender style" script to the headstock lettering and were forced to change it in 1984 - hence the many alleged "1980's" Tokais that are not actually from that period. However I KNOW that this is an original 1985 model because I bought it and have owned it ever since! Detailed Spec:ST55 Model 1957 style stratocaster One-piece maple neck.

Not sure what of this is original?

Tuners obviously changed.

The interesting thing to me is that it has datable pots. They date to August 1984 (38).

Other interesting thing is the VII (MKII) pickups are in it already.

And one more interesting thing is the round string tree because the VII (MKII) pickups were in TST50's.

So Partscaster?

Wish I could see the serial number and neck & body codes.
