Yep. That’s exactly why I post so many pictures. The pictures don’t lie, but people often make mistakes describing things or in sharing serial numbers. Good catch.

This is an ST80 BBR '64 oldie model listed in the 1981 catalog, with the following specifications: seagull-shaped string guide, 3 pickguard, no skunk line on the back of the neck.
However, there is a 7-digit serial number starting with 00 on the neck joint plate, which indicates that it was made in 1980.
There is a stamp of "56.3.12" on the inside of the back panel, which seems to indicate 1981.

There is no model name on the fingerboard end, such as an engraving or sticker.
It could be that it was manufactured across years, or that it was manufactured in 1980 because it was released in 1981, but we cannot identify the exact model.

There is a 7-digit serial number starting with 00 on the neck joint plate.
The bridge saddle, commonly known as "double Tokai", has "TOKAI" engraved on both sides.

The pickguard is 3-ply with 11 points.
The pickup is equipped with an E stamp.
The pickup selector is a genuine 3-stage 5-position pickup selector.
The finish is lacquer.

Although it is not genuine, the square hard case shown in the image is included.

My vote goes to 1981. There's another ST80 in the list with a 1=17 stamp, 00 serial and no stamp on the fretboard.
