Documenting Lake Placid Blue Springys & Goldstars.

This was a "special" color in 1982, so the price should be 5,000 yen higher than similar model in standard colors.

1981 ST55

Looks like a Lake Placid Blue (LB) guitar that has severely yellowed and appears green.

Owner was probably a smoker. Looks like those could be burns on the headstock?

And look at the decals. They look almost brown.

"This 1981 ST50SPRINGYSOUND is a lower model among the Stratocaster copy models released at that time, but it has a custom color, and the ultra-thin paint that allows the wood grain to draw out the goodness of the material. The neck is a U shape neck. Alder material is used for the body material, and the sound is warm and plump in the midrange. A well-balanced sound that is easy to handle with nuances in any position. It is a recommended individual for Stratocaster lovers, including appearance."

Hard to say. This finish can look so variable based on how it’s lit or how much the image is saturated.

As I recall Voidoid56 and I debated which this was in the Silver Star thread.
