Hey there and welcome.

It would help a lot to see a picture of the back of the headstock showing the serial number.

That will confirm the date it was made.

Also, if there is a black oval sticker with a 60 or 100 that would give us the model.

If you had fret edge binding that would tell us it was probably a 100, but those are often removed with a re fret.

Detailed pics would help.

From a distance it looks like yours has a rosewood fretboard.

I would think that would put it in the 90s and an LC60BB.

Pics with the serial number would help.

Hi, unfortunatley a headstock repair was carried out adding an extra layer of paint/lacquer which means all of the numbers cant be made out, i do remember the Luthier who repaired it quoted on his paperwork something like LS70. neck pickup was replaced and a refret with jumbo frets also the original nut was brass that was replaced with bone.

It did have fret nibs which were removed during the refret

OK. That's unfortunate.

And LS70 is obviously wrong. That's not a Custom.

Can you post clear images of the fretboard?

And the only LC I know of that came with a brass nut was the John Sykes model.

It had all sorts of bling.

It had fret edge binding.

Sounds like a digit is missing.

First digit would be the year.

So 4023078 for example for a 1984.

The 23,078 is in the 1984/85 production range I believe?

The white one above is SN 5024432

Seems to fit in that end of 1984/85 range.
