Hi, it's on reverb, it's in Italy, it's local, like 20 minute driving.
I'm tempted, really tempted. Seller claims it's a TST 60.

Shouldn't TST60s have a long skunk stripe all along the back of the neck?

Thank you.

Link? Pictures?

If it's this one https://reverb.com/uk/item/36093731-tokai-goldstar-sound-tst-60s-1984-cream-white-fender-stratocaster-reissue
It doesn't need a skunk stripe as it has a rosewood fretboard!

That would make it a tst70 possibly. You will need to remove the neck and pickups to verify that all parts are original to each other.

6 figure serial number and V 11 pickups (from what I can see) identifies this as a 1985 ST 50.

I'll play; your Goldstar Sound is likely a TST-55 because (1) custom color (2) VII stamped pickups :)

neck plate seems out of place for the example

Your listing states, "all original" but that is impossible because you have CTS pots in there dated to 1310

Oh, I didn’t know, I’ll update the post. They seemed legit.

Do you think it’s a fair price?
For €700 I’ll let it go

I typically try & not comment on price unless an item is just insanely over priced, which I don't believe that applies to your asking price.
Not really my business what others ask for a price point. :)

Older post, but this is a significant guitar.

Definitely a TST50OWR. VII pickups.

Even though the pots were replaced

(really unfortunate becasue this is the earliest six digit 2xxxxx Goldstar I have found),

but it seems to date to May 1986 based on what I have been finding with other related serial numbers with datable pots.

Notice brass ground plate present which disappears by the beginning of 1987.

These six digit serial numbers beginning with 2xxxxx followed the Fender type system that ended just before this guitar was made.

Six Digit Serial Numbers With 2xxxxx

If you read this and still have old pics of this guitar, I would love to see any others you have, especially if any show the original pots.
