This is probably a Partcaster, but the neck plate and neck look Tokai.

Pots date to December 1990

Production January, but January 1991 seems 2 years too late for this serial number...

Pots might go with the body which does not seem to go with the neck....

I don't see a production stamp on the body and the neck bolt holes in the neck pocket should be countersunk in the early 90s.

Too high of a number to be a Fender 5 digit. That would make it a 1982 guitar, which it obviously is not.

Tokai "Custom Edition" strat model
- Appears to be from around 1990 (looking at the dates on the potentiometers). I can't find this particular model in any of the Tokai catalogs from the time so it may have been a custom guitar of some kind as suggested by the "Custom Edition" logo.
- Finish appears to be very thin poly
- Thin 2-piece maple veneer on top of a 3-piece ash body
- Body has actory original bridge humbucker routing
- 3.8 kg weight/ about 8 lbs
- Comes with a set of Fender Custom Shop Fat 50's pickups installed
- Comes with gold Schaller strap locks
- Neck is a medium C profile.
- Jumbo frets with very little wear
- Neck is straight currently set up with minimum relief
- Just a couple of small chips in the finish (see photos)
- Comes with a standard chrome tremolo arm
- No gigbag or hardcase included

Nice rosewood neck.
"3-1" on the end of the neck.
"Made In Japan" sticker
Single ply white pickguard.
Slightly yellowish pickups.
No markings on the pickups.
5-pos p/u switch.
ONE VOL and ONLY ONE TONE pot !!!
Standard "old" trem, but without any identification.
Plays well, good sound, with a very bright tone.
In almost mint condition.
