The guitar came this morning and it is a beauty. It looks and feels like a new guitar, not a mark on it. It passed the nitro test with flying colours - before it came I had a feeling it may have been a poly version of the slightly higher priced ES version in 2009 hence the strange price difference but no, it is definitely nitro. It's also got a set of Gibson Classic 57s installed which I wasn't expecting.

I can't get my head around how much I've paid for this, they were retailing new for well over £2k in the UK until recently, this guitar is as new as new can get. It's hard to get a decent image of the flame on this guitar but it's certainly there.

Also I have suspicion that the model/price number difference for UES and ES at that time may have been down to the UES not having a hard case included whereas the ES did.
