Yeah. It is rare because that color was a premium color. It cost an extra 5,000 yen over the standard color options.

And the 70 was never common.

Ah, I had come across a thread that mentioned a variation being extra yen on order, that's definitely interesting and marks it out a bit. So, to put at least a temporary cap on this I could posit that it's possibly mid 80's body with a rosewood neck that was likely 80's as well and added some time in Japan. TE or TTE 70, rare, to order, metallic blue. US switch and possible pot replacement. 'Final Pro Spec' stamped with 3 barrel bridge, likely homage to the Fender Custom 62 Telecaster, see here https://www.guitarscanada.com/threads/1962-63-fender-custom-telecaster.282932/

Technically the body would be from a 75 because of the color.

With that serial number and the = sign it’s probably a 1984 body. Neck is probably from that time to.

In 1984 the name changed to TTE.

So it’s essentially a 1984 TTE75 MBR guitar that has had a neck swap.

The rosewood board is nice.

Again, you shouldn’t have any trouble selling it at a reasonable price.

Just disclose the alterations (neck, pickguard, pots, switch, possibly pickups, neck pocket, etc).

That's fantastic, thank you. And if this isn't crass or frowned upon here, what sort of range would you think is reasonable for this guitar? I've seen what I'd consider absurd recent prices for pretty recent Breezy sales, and some that seem under but there's often a few years elapsed. Market determines I guess. No problem whatsoever if that's not the sort of question you'd prefer to answer.

I try not to get into pricing on other people’s guitars.

Check Reverb for past sales of TTE70 guitars. That should help.

With auctions you can let the market decide.

Oooo! I've got one of those. Bought second hand from Chapells of Bond Street, London in ~1985 and I've had it ever since. S/n 18097, Final Pro Spec Bridge, (someone had scratched off the word 'Breezysound', it took me ~20 years to notice!), all stock as far as I know (I haven't taken it apart for years). I don't know why anyone doesn't do this colour combination more often, I love it. Cheers, Tom.Tokai 18097.JPG

Amazing!

18097 - 18025 = 72 Very very close in production.

I am guessing both are probably 1984 and the OP had a maple neck like yours originally.

Understand, not a worry. Not much out there to compare at the moment but I’ll figure it out, thanks

Lovely, even more stunning in the flesh. I’m the same, put a sunburst in front of me I glaze over but anything in this area of blue it’s gaga.
