Firstly, I'm so sorry for another thread requesting help with identification. I have gone through the forum and still not sure what I'm looking at!

It's a guitar I'm thinking of buying. The only codes or serial numbers are on the heel of the neck and the pots.
I think it's a late 80s but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Just going by the pots I would say early 90s to mid 2000s.

That code is handwritten, so not sure that is helpful.

Do you have a picture of the neck plate and lower neck near the body?

I don't but apparently they are both blank.
 
From the blurry picture it looks like no serial number and all caps MADE IN JAPAN stamp?

If so it’s early 2000s to around 2007.

That’s why it’s good not to go by what someone tells you and insist on pictures.

There is clearly a Made In Japan stamp. That’s very significant.
 
It's also why it's important to tap in to the knowledge of the experts!
