Production process.



1. Reduce the moisture content of the wood by natural drying. Once the precious guitar materials collected from all over the world are finished being sawn into logs, they are exposed to Hamamatsu's climate, which is perfect for making guitars, for about two to four years. This is an extremely important process that reduces the ``free water'' in the wood to a moisture content of 18% or less. In Hamamatsu, this is called haizumi and has become a specialty.



2/3. Remove "bound water" by artificial drying. It is artificially dried using intense heat and steam for about a week. This is to remove the ``bound water'' that is attached to the structure of the wood. The staff in charge are always in a battle with the instruments. The important point is that if the material is not naturally dried, the distortion after artificial drying will be severe enough to make it unsuitable for use as a musical instrument material. It is also basic to dry only the same materials by hand.

Materials that have been artificially dried and products that are in the middle of wood processing enter a seasoning room that is constantly air-conditioned.
