I’m surprised that the model number is not higher if that is actually a jacaranda fretboard. Could it be a different type of rosewood or even ebony?

2000年代は現在ほどギター価格が高騰しておりませんでした。スペックについてはメーカーからも回答をいただいているので間違いありません。

Interesting. So you are saying that the folks at Tokai told you it had a Brazilian rosewood fretboard? I have never heard them use that term. They always say jacaranda which is less specific. So that is interesting.

In the 2000 catalog the only model that had a jacaranda fretboard was the LS320 which was twice the price of an LS160, but it also had a solid AAAA flamed maple top and a Honduran mahogany 1 piece back.

I assume this was a special order placed by Big Boss guitar shop?

Tokai LS-160 Love Rock 2001 Nitrocellulose Cherry Sunburst with Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard MIJ

This is about as good a Les Paul as you will ever find, and I've had more than a few. This was purchased by me directly from Japan in 2012. I could not believe when it actually arrived. Because of the Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, actually thought customs would have taken it, but it made it through. The guitar is a players grade because of scratches and dings. However, the original frets show little to no wear. The LS-160 is supposed to come with a plain top. However, this has some blister and figure. The specs are below. Please ask any questions and l'll get back to you as soon as I can. Guitar will only ship within the USA.

たしかにあまり木目が出ておりませんね。先日、私が購入したHLS-TL 2009の指板によく似ていると思います。

Just because it goes from dark to light does not make it BR. The grain looks more like Indian Rosewood to me.
Just because someone said it is BR has to be taken with a grain of salt. Most people don't know the difference
and I am sure the people at Tokai could have had slick salespeople or even people that are not familiar with the
differences between the two types of wood. I am no expert by any means and have read the end grain is the only
way to really confirm it. I do know from working with it that it is very oily. About twice as much as even old growth
Indian Rosewood. When polished it looks like it has a coat of clear. IR does too but not as much so.
