@Alan : not so sure. Some people put the body in a freezer for a short period of time I think. Not sure if that's how he did it actually. Some other people do the weather checking with a scalpel (Tom Murphy I think ?)

Obviously the guys didn't know what they had. I first I thought it would be a ST-50, but I am not so sure now as it has a 6...

Well, pickups have a U stamped on them. From what I have read on another site, the ST-60 should have 8 screws for the pickguard (mine has 11), and a round string tree (mine is the standard one). So I likely have a ST-50. Still a great guitar.
