I just got a probably 70s Chaki acoustic model W-70. From google I found out that Chaki has been making guitars since 1947 but seems to be known only in Japan. It appears to be all solid wood 'coz the grains are the same both inside and outside. I was hoping someone could help identify the wood...

Edited my post 'coz I just confirmed that this is a Tokai TEA-60S from a pic he posted at another site that clearly shows 2 knobs. I also got his number and sent him an SMS message but he hasn't replied back. Wish me luck that I get it :) Here are better pics from that other site...

Post says it's a 1980 Greco custom all stock but comments here indicate it could be a 1990 model. Would this be better than my EG700 solid body? Idea on current price range? Can we get more info based on these pics? I'm still waiting for the other pics (pups, pots, cavities). Thanks!

I recently got an EG700 w/ U2000 pups. I got an offer for screamin pups taken from a mint collection series but they don't have covers. Can I remove the cover from the U2000 and transfer it to the screamin pups? Will there be a noticeable sound difference if I replace my pups? TIA

I cleaned my fretboard w/ alcohol then applied lemon oil but it turned very dark. Is this normal? My newer guitars have rosewood too but they didn't turn dark.
