just got this last monday. it is just around 9.5 lbs. i changed out the stock aria pu's in favor of a dimarzio paf for the neck and a dimarzio sd at the bridge, and added some grovers at the head. it has a '59 neck :( but it really has a great sound.

i got this last saturday (e-bay)... and it turned out not to be as nice as it appeared :cry: i believe the guitar was exposed to a great deal of moisture at some point as all but 3 screws were terribly rusted into the wood, and upon removing them i pulled out enough wood as i will have to use...

i noticed that both aria pro2 lp's i own have 3 piece necks. someone told me that this was a pratice back in the 70's and 80's to help keep the neck from developing a twist. if this is true why do i not see this more often these days?

hi all. i just got a 1980 aria proll leopard std in the mail today. and it seems the previous owner was pretty hard on it. only 1 pot still works, so i will be changing out the internals. i will be replacing the pickups in it with a pair of dimarzio DP103's. any advice on quality replacement...
