SOLD 1993 Tokai ES 90 (MIJ 335 copy)

I didn't think I would do this, but I would like to sell my 1993 MIJ Tokai ES 90. I've had a few Gibsons and other ES 335 copies and this is the nicest of the lot. However, I need something with single coils for a new project and my other electric also has humbuckers and was a gift from my...

    WTB - 1980s Springysound or Breezysound (UK/EU)

Thanks! Looks great, but I'm looking for something a bit closer to 'all-original'. I'm sure it's a lovely guitar, though.

    NGD - Tokai ES90

A bit more info from Tokai Japan, who I emailed again. They have confirmed that the PAF-Vintage MK1 pickups in my guitar have Alnico V magnets.

    NGD - Tokai ES90

Got some more info on this. I emailed Tokai Japan and they actually responded within a few hours. Excellent service. Here are my questions with their answers: - What are the pickups in this guitar? PAF-Vintage MK1 is Tokai original P.U. made in Japan. - Is the finish poly or lacquer? It...

    NGD - Tokai ES90

You may have seen my other thread looking for info on a 1993 Tokai ES-90. Well, I went ahead and bought it. Photos below. I already had a 2003 ES-120, which I decided to sell to make way for this ES-90. I know it sounds a bit silly, but I really wanted one with the 'right' headstock and truss...

    Tokai ES-90

I might have made a small amount of progress on this. I paid for access to a 1990 Tokai catalogue at another website. On there, it lists an ES90, ES120 and ES180. The ES90 and ES120 actually have identical specs, except that the ES90 is dot neck and the ES120 is block neck. The ES180 is...

    Tokai ES-90

I have seen a 1993 Tokai ES-90 I am interested in buying, however I can’t find much information on it online. I also can’t spot it in the catalogues on this site. It seems there are a few early 1980s ES-100s out there, and a lot of early-2000s ES-120s and upwards out there, but virtually no...
